Mrs. Lisa Waddle applied for a grant a couple of years ago to add the Cool Coffee Beans Cart to the functional classroom at WMS. Our 6th graders had their first experience making and delivering coffee to the staff last week. They loved it so much.
Warrensburg High School students are participating on the newly formed Tiger eSports team held at Warrensburg Area Career Center. ESports is an after school activity where students compete in PC and console video games against schools from across the state. Tiger Pride!

Parents as Teachers had Popcicles in the Park this morning. They had a lot of fun catching bubbles, playing hopscotch, bowling and playing with the parachute. They also shared stories in the park while enjoying popcicles. For more information about the program, please call 660-747-7424!

Due to the forecasted extreme heat, the district will start the school year with early dismissals on Wednesday, August 23rd and Thursday, August 24th. Warrensburg High School and Middle School will dismiss at 12:35 p.m. Martin Warren and Sterling will dismiss at 1:30 p.m. Maple Grove and Ridge View will dismiss at 1:40 p.m. While we know this is not ideal, we are concerned for our students as well as our bus drivers. This is especially true for our bus drivers and monitors who will be on the bus for double routes.
We greatly appreciate your patience with this situation and the late notification. We have tried to work through some of these challenges, and with the reality of heat hitting us today, we have made this decision to work to keep everyone as safe as possible.
We are looking forward to seeing all of our students tomorrow! Please allow for some grace as our buses work out pick-up and drop-off times over the first couple of weeks. Please have students at bus stops five minutes early, and please give us extra time after pick-up as we have students enrolling and being added to the routes daily.
