I previously was an assistant principal at the high school. I feel honored to be at Sterling each day where kids really want to learn and teachers want to help them grow. in every aspect of their education. Sterling is truly a great place to be. We have a single attendance center (no other elementary with the same grade span); therefore, we cannot offer the School Choice option. Welcome our new people to Sterling: The new fourth grade teachers include: Lori Condron and Roxanne Roush. The new fifth grade teachers include: Diane Samson and Betsy Ridenhour. The special services department have the following new faces: Amy Haslag(faculty) , Brandon Lindquist (faculty), Shasha Welch (Para), Amanda Johnson (Para), Linda Knight (faculty-Speech). Sterling Hours: Doors open at 7:45 a.m. Students are then dismissed to their classrooms at 8:30 with the official start time of school being 8:50. Dismissal from Sterling is 3:30. How Do I Know if School is Closed for Inclement Weather? There are several ways you can find out if school is closed. First KOKO Radio, 1450 AM; KMBC - Channel 9; our school district TV, Channel 99; the district website http://warrensburg.k12.mo.us/ ; or the district information telephone line 747-5062. These same postings will announce any changes in start times or early dismissals. Our district wants to ensure that students are safe and can arrive and be home safely.
