Life 101 is ...an advisory, a place where every child will have an advocate, a place to build relationships, where the foundation starts, where students feel safe, where school pride is encouraged and celebrated, where individual successes are celebrated, and it is a trusting atmosphere.
Life 101 is open-minded, where mentoring happens one-on-one, where teachers and students are supportive and resourceful, a place to teach life and executive skills, an opportunity for internal teacher-communication, and a home base for everyone.
Word(s) for the Month: Vision & Courage Vision: Unusual competence in discernment or perception; intelligent foresight. Courage: Mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty. "All successful people men and women are big dreamers. They imagine what their future could be, ideal in every respect, and then they work every day toward their distant vision, that goal or purpose." -Brian Tracy "I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear." -Nelson Mandela
