Taste of Chocolate "2010"
The event has changed, but the chocolate is still as delicious! Orders are being taken until February 10 and must be paid for in advance for the following yummy treats:
1 Dozen Boxed Chocolate Hand Dipped Fresh Strawberries - $15
1 Dozen Boxed Handmade Chocolate Truffles with Assorted Toppings - $10
1 Dozen Double Chocolate Cookies in a Valentine bag - $5
Order forms are available from WHS band members, Band Directors, or Band Aides members. Orders must be returned to the WHS office by Wed. Feb. 10th at 2:30 p.m. All orders are handmade by Chef Julie Greenwood of Sodexo at UCM. Orders can be picked up at the WHS Commons on Fri. Feb. 12 from 4 to 7 p.m. during the basketball game. All proceeds go to support Warrensburg Bands. For information call Chef Julie at 864-9447.

fast approaching! Census questionnaires will be mailed or delivered to
every household in the United States in March 2010.

Haircuts For Haiti
WACC Cosmetology students are planning a fundraiser for the victims of the Haiti earthquake. They will donate 100%
of the money taken in for haircuts between January 25, 2010 and
February 12, 2010. Please call 747-7919 to make your appointment to
help!
Preschool Enrollment
The Little Tigers Preschool is now accepting applications through
March 31st, 2010 for enrollment for the 2010-11 school year. Children
must be three by August 1, 2010 and not attending kindergarten until
Fall, 2011. The Little Tigers Preschool is managed by the Warrensburg
R-VI School District and is a tuition based program. Tuition for
2010-2011 is $90 per week. However, there is a sliding fee schedule
based on a family's qualifications. You may pick up an application at
Reese Education Center located at 301 W. Market anytime between 7:15
a.m. and 3:45 p.m. Mon-Fri. Please call Teri Sterling or Chalice

Access
District Media Centers
Check out the "Destiny" link under Parents and Students to access the district library catalog. The program is now entirely web based. Students and parents will be able to search all library catalogs from any computer that has internet. Teachers will be able to access it, search for books, reserve books at any school in the district, and complete other tasks using their log-ins.

Band Aides Fundraisers
Applebee's Restaurant and WHS Band Aides are hosting "Dining to Donate" evenings from 4 p.m. to closing on Jan. 21, 22, 29 and Feb. 11, 12, 18, and 19. Applebee's will donate 20% of the total of your check to the WHS Band.
Support the WHS Band by purchasing Band Cards for $10. The Band Cards can be used over and over again to make purchases at local businesses.
Parents can help stop the spread of germs that make our students and others sick.
Keep your child at home if they are sick. Keep them at home for at least 24 hours after they no longer have a fever, or signs of a fever, without the use of fever-reducing medicines.
Teach your child how to cover their nose and mouth with a tissue when coughing or sneezing (or use a shirt sleeve or elbow if no tissue is available). Then teach them to throw away the tissue and wash their hands or use an alcohol based hand sanitizer if soap and water is unavailable. Thank you for your efforts in keeping our school community healthy.
